Aneke to debut against Zamalek

By OJEIKERE AIKHOJE

naijapremierleague.net can reveal that Nigeria Premier League record goal king, Jude Aneke, will make his Egyptian Premier League debut against Zamalek on Wednesday, next week.

Aneke missed El-Dakhleya’s league opener against Arab Contractors on Sunday, February 3 and is also unavailable for Saturday’s match against El-Entag El-Harby (sponsored by the Ministry of War Production).

The Nigerian expressed readniess to make his Egyptian debut.

“I wasn’t in Egypt on match day one because I had to come back to Nigeria to renew some documents. However, I’m already excited about my debut against a top side like Zamalek,” Aneke told naijapremierleague.net.
Aneke is on loan from Port Said based Al-Masry, which is not competing this term.

The 18 participating teams are this year divided into two groups of nine teams each and according to the new round robin format, teams from each group play each other just once.
Dakhleya are in the same group with Zamalek, Ismaili, the Police Federation, Talae’e Al-Geish, Petrojet, Military Production, Ittihad of Alexandria and Arab Contractors.

Wednesday’s match is slated for the 30,000 capacity military-owned Air Defense Stadium, in Cairo.
