Rashidi Yekini remains the best forward to play in the Super Eagles considering the number of goals he scored in the green and white colours of Nigeria, but the record for the domestic league belongs to Jude Aneke.

Aneke's 20-goal feat during the 2010/11 season earned him a place in the history books as the all-time leading scorer in the Nigeria Premier League.

Former Kano Pillars forward, Ahmed Musa erased the 17-goal mark of Ishaya Jatau and Akarandut Orok when he scored 18 goals during the 2009/10 season.

However, all that his history now following Aneke's performance for Kaduna United.

The performance made him a :"wanted-man" as clubs tried to get him to boost their sides.

Ambitious Warri Wolves won the bid for the forward after the club coughed up a record N12million for his services.

The figure clearly made Aneke Nigeria's most expensive player.

"I intend to do more to justify my transfer to Wolves," he told his official blog: www.judeaneke.blogspot.com
