Warri Wolves coach Maurice Cooreman has tipped Jude Aneke to beat his last season’s 20-goal tally after his brace Sunday against Tornadoes. Aneke scored a double as Wolves beat Tornadoes 2-0 at home and he has now scored five goals, same number of goals he netted in the first round before he blasted 15 goals in the second half of the campaign. Cooreman, who was Aneke's coach when he achieved the feat at Kaduna United, is his coach now at Warri Wolves and believes the striker can go on to score more goals in the second half of this season. "Aneke is a top-class striker and I am sure he can score up to 20 goals this season and even more,” Cooreman told MTNFootball.com “He went through the same thing last season when he scored just five goals in the first round and he is on same path now with five goals at the end of first stanza. He can score 15 or even more in the second round." Aneke has said his exploits last season have made him a marked man in this campaign. "I know scoring goals won't be easy this term because having scored 20 last season, I am the marked man wherever we play. At least two players are detailed to mark me out,” he said. “I have been doing my best and will continue to fashion ways to beat them. I am happy to end the first round with goals and now with five goals, I believe I can score as many as possible. “I won't give a particular number but I will score as many as I can before the end of the season. He added,”I am sure the presence of Maurice Cooreman who motivated me last season at Kaduna United will do a lot to inspire me again." Aneke was on course to moving to Belgium in the summer but he would eventually retrace his steps to the NPL. He said the offer put on the table by Genk was not good enough. "I can't go for peanuts all because I want to play in Europe. I did well (on trials) but what they put on the table was small, so my agent said we should leave it. Better offers will come this summer," he told MTNFootball.com culled from mtnfootball.com
